Since 1999, Mark O‚'Toole has been a business collegiate department adjunct instructor.
Currently, he teaches or has taught at Davenport University, Aquinas College, and
Grand Valley State University. The courses taught include Market Research, Leadership,
Foundations of Marketing, Sales Force Management, Training & Development, Principles
of Management, Principles of Marketing, Marketing Strategies, and Case Study Management.
He has taught both graduate and under graduate classes.
With 30 years of business experience in the consumer package industry, including 21
years in executive leadership positions, Mark brings real world business application
into the classroom. Within Fortune 200 Companies, he has held positions as senior
sales and marketing management, operations, brand and product development, marketing,
business development, and productivity leadership. He has consulted with small business
owners on organizational design, efficiency and effectiveness, cost containment as
well as training and development. Mark designed and developed a training program on
strategic partnerships for the SHRM, Society for Human Resource Management.
Mark has been married for 43 years and has two sons and four grandchildren. Mark
and his wife Connie reside in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Mark holds a Masters of Management degree from Aquinas College and a B.S. degree in
education from University of Pittsburgh. Mark has served as: Saint Thomas the Apostle
Pastoral Council; Community Event Volunteer; Past Gerontology Society Board Member;
Saint Thomas the Apostle Church Remodeling Campaign Chair; Various volunteer positions
for East Grand Rapids Parks & Recreation, school athletics
