Martha Waldvogel-Warren has extensive performance experience in orchestras and chamber
music ensembles in the US and Europe, as well as solo appearances worldwide. She has
produced four recordings featuring both classical and folk music. In 2014 Martha was
featured as a soloist with the Grand Rapids Ballet. Her performance was lauded as
“heroic” in the Grand Rapids Press. She currently serves as Principal Harpist of the
Holland Symphony, and substitutes regularly for professional symphonies in the area.
Martha holds faculty positions at Hope College, Grand Valley State University and
Aquinas College during the academic year, and the New Harmony Music Festival and School,
where she continues to perform and instruct each summer. In addition to her active
performance career, she applies her certification as a Harp Therapist with weekly
interventions for in-patients at Holland Hospital.
Ms. Waldvogel-Warren holds a Bachelor of Music in Harp Performance from Ball State
University under the tutelage of Elizabeth Richter. She also completed a Master of
Music from the Cleveland Institute of Music under the instruction of Alice Chalifoux.
Furthermore she studied at the Tanglewood Institute with Lucile Lawrence.
