Artist's Statement Through sculpture and video, I explore the phenomenon of how sound
and rhythm exists in the world, both visually and aurally. I do this as an alternative
way of approaching musical composition, as well as a means to reveal how music is
a natural thing that is shaped by us and our physical environment. By revealing the
connections between music and our physical world, the work creates opportunity for
an expanded knowledge of one's surroundings, making for an unexpected way in which
to perceive, understand and appreciate sensorial reality.
