Grand Raids, Michigan (September 3, 2003) - Aquinas College has retained an enviable
position as a recognized "Best Values" college, according to rankings released by
U.S. News and World Report. The College is positioned on the prestigious 2004 "Best
Values" list as compiled by U.S. News World Report in its Annual College Survey Rankings
released in early September. Aquinas is listed among the Tier Two institutions in
the Universities-Masters (Midwest) category.
Each year, U.S. News World Report conducts an exhaustive survey of colleges and universities
across the United States. An analysis of survey responses results in detailed rankings,
based on several qualifying factors, which are published in a special edition each
fall. The list is designed to provide parents and students with a source of objective
information to help them decide which school best fits their educational needs.
While the U.S. News World Report Annual College Survey provides valuable information
about higher education institutions, administrators would agree that it is not designed
to replace conversations with counselors or faculty nor intended to replace a personal
school visit
Consistently ranked as one of the top liberal arts colleges in the Midwest by U.S.
News and World Report, Aquinas College offers an approach to learning and living that
teaches students unlimited ways of seeing the world. Founded in 1886 by the Dominican
Sisters of Grand Rapids, the College's Dominican tradition of working, service and
lifelong learning remains alive today in a diverse student body. Students from more
than 20 states and 12 foreign countries are enrolled in undergraduate and graduate
programs. Within six months of graduation, nearly all graduates are in full-time jobs,
enrolled in professional schools of law, medicine, or dentistry, or in a master or
doctoral program.
