Aquinas College is pleased to announce the expansion of the Aquinas College Foundation.
As of August, 12 2014, the College Advancement office will transition to its new identity as the Aquinas College Foundation office to support the work of the Foundation. Staff offices will remain in Holmdene.
The mission of the Foundation is “to serve as ambassadors advancing the College’s reputation, growth and prosperity and to identify and secure the resources necessary to fulfill the mission and vision of Aquinas College.”
The Aquinas College Foundation Board co-chairs are Denise Christy ‘82 and John Jackoboice. Directors of the Foundation include Greg Alksnis ‘71, Micki Benz, Sam Cummings, Sr. Maureen Geary (Board Trustee), Lt. Gen (Ret) John Nowak ’63 (Board Trustee), Rev. Mark Przybysz ‘83 and Kate Pew Wolters ‘78. Dr. Juan Olivarez ‘71 serves as President of the Foundation, with Greg Meyer as Executive Director and Dr. Len Kogut as Treasurer.
"John and I see the work of the Foundation as essential to moving the College forward," said Co-Chair Denise Christy. "We are committed to creating a solid financial base that will allow Aquinas to flourish and focus on the important task of educating the leaders of tomorrow."
The Foundation Board of Directors will primarily focus on growing the College’s endowment which is currently at approximately $40 million, and support current and future capital campaigns.
The Aquinas College Board of Trustees, under the leadership of Board chair Dr. Don Burns, will continue its role of overseeing College policy, property, strategic direction, and fiscal affairs. The goals of the Boards differ, but both are committed to advancing the mission, vision and values of our Catholic and Dominican educational community.
“We welcome the expansion of the Aquinas College Foundation and know that the contribution the Foundation makes to the work of the College will strengthen our ability to offer our students an excellent liberal arts education infused with our commitment to prayer, study, service and community,“ said Aquinas President, Juan Olivarez.
