GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan, September 10, 2001 Aquinas College springs into Homecoming
2001 on Friday, September 28th with the Aquinas Players presenting Sophocles' Oedipus
the King at 4:00 p.m. in the Amphitheater of the Aquinas College Art and Music Center.
Then at 7:00 p.m., the Annual Talent Show will take place in the Wege Student Center
Ballroom, where some Aquinas student's will showcase their talents.
On Saturday, September 29th the day begins at 9:00 a.m. with the Centipede Shuffle, to register for the run/walk contact the Linda Nash at 459-8281 ext. 3112. At 11:00 a.m. the students who made the 2001 Spring Semester Dean's List will be honored at the Students Dean's List Reception in the Wege Student Center Ballroom. Then at 1:00 p.m. the Aquinas community joins together to show their pride and cheer on the men's soccer team.
At 3:00 p.m. the Homecoming Court Classic Car Procession and the King and Queen crowning will take place. Then it's back to soccer to watch the women's team take on Spring Arbor University. In the evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Mercurial Son will kick back in the tent and play some blues with a rock edge.
Throughout the day Aquinas College will also have an array of entertainment and activities that will run from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the eastside of campus in the Donnelly Parking Lot.
On Sunday, September 30th the weekend will conclude with Homecoming Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Bukowski Chapel and the Jazz Concert at 4:00 in the Art and Music Center.
