The Aquinas College Players will present "The Contrast," written by Royall Tyler shortly after America's War of Independence from the British, on Thursday, October 3-Saturday, October 5 at 7:30 p.m. in the Wege Student Center Ballroom. The play is directed by Gary Konow, Ph.D., Professor of Theatre at Aquinas. Ticket prices are $10 for general admission and $5 for students with I.D.

"The Contrast" is a farcical musical comedy of manners aimed at poking fun at British social manners, setting them in stark contrast to the "get real" manners of the rugged, independent, Yankee character. The theme of "The Contrast," like other comedies of manners, centers on concern for sincerity in opposition to socially dictated customs and modes of behavior.

This production, with its love interests, sword and pillow fights, dream ballets, funny lines and lyrics, catchy music, and zany antics, will be a whole lot of fun. Produced by Special Arrangement with SAMUEL FRENCH, INC.
