Five New Board Members are Aquinas Alumni

Grand Rapids, Michigan (June 25, 2007) – Aquinas College Trustees expanded its membership
by seven people at last month’s meeting. Five of those selected are alumni of the
College.
The alumni selected to serve on the Board are: David Aker ’77, Muskegon, retired senior vice president of Human Resources for Unisys Corporation in Philadelphia; Debra Bailey ’83, Grand Rapids, director of corporate communications at Steelcase and a former Trustee who is returning to the Board; Michael Lown ’86, Grand Rapids, director of Accounting and Tax for FMG Holdings; General John Nowak ’63, Spring Lake, Michigan and Naples, Florida, retired from the U.S. Air Force; and Sr. Mary Kay Oosdyke O.P. ’65, St. Louis, Missouri, associate professor of Theology at the Aquinas Institute of Theology in St. Louis.
In addition, the Board also welcomes Richard Durell, Grand Rapids, an attorney with the Grand Rapids’ firm of McShane Bowie PLC and Joseph Parini, Grand Rapids, president of Applied Analytics.
The new board member will each serve a three-year term that begins in July and continues through June 2010.
