The Aquinas College Jazz Camp begins on Sunday, June 17 and goes through Friday, June
22. The faculty will be performing in concert at 7:30 p.m., on Wednesday, June 20
in Kretschmer Recital Hall. Kretschmer Recital Hall is located in the Aquinas Art
and Music Center. The concert is free and everyone is welcome.
The faculty includes the following outstanding musicians: Paul Brewer, Ph.D., camp director, instructor in trombone and voice; Matt Brewer, electric and acoustic
bass; Mike Hyde, electric and acoustic guitar; Tom Lockwood, saxophones and acoustic
bass; Jason Palmer, trumpets; Steve Talaga, piano, keyboards and composition; and
Jon Wert, drum set and percussion. The musicians have years of experience performing
as well as teaching and are recognized jazz masters.
The student showcase concert is on Friday, June 22 at 2 p.m. The concert is in the
Aquinas Art and Music Center and is free. The public is welcome.
