GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN (February 15, 2010) - Aquinas College has some presence at
the 2010 Winter Olympics, so to speak. Alumnus Brian Williams '69 is covering the
Olympics in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, for Canadian Television (CTV). He
is also handling anchoring duties for Canada's The Sports Network (TSN). Williams
is considered the "Dean of Canadian Sportscasters" and is often compared to Bob Costas,
who is handling Olympic coverage for American television (NBC).
In May 2006, Williams received an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from his alma mater. That same year, he also delivered the College's Commencement Address to graduates, "Going for the Gold."
