The birth of our Lord at Christmas proclaimed a promise fulfilled, bringing great joy and the gift of peace to the world. Christ’s birth marks the bond of humanity, which we share and are called to celebrate.

In the midst of the holiday festivities, it is important that we pause and give thanks for the many blessings we have received as a nation, a college and individually. Our prayers are with those who are hungry, lonely or ill and those in the military, who are away from home serving our country.

I wish you the joy and peace of Christmas today and throughout the New Year.
