Aquinas College is pleased to announce a new collaborative effort with Robert B. Miller
College in offering Aquinas' Master of Management courses on the Aquinas campus and
in Battle Creek, commencing in August, 2010. This opportunity for college graduates
in southeast Michigan is the culmination of months of discussion and planning between
Nanette Clatterbuck, Aquinas College Associate Provost, and Dave Harris, President
of Miller College.
According to Associate Provost Clatterbuck, "Aquinas College is fortunate to have
Miller College as a partner in our Master of Management program. Together we will
be able to further expand opportunities for students."
The Aquinas/Miller collaboration will allow graduate students to complete the 39 credit
hour degree program as members of a cohort, utilizing a hybrid course format of in-class
and online instruction, and taught by Aquinas College faculty. Classes will conveniently
alternate between the two campuses, with the intention of easing the work, family,
and time constraints that are impediments for many professionals seeking a graduate
degree. Cohort members will complete six credit hours per semester, over seven semesters.
The initial cohort will begin in the fall 2010 term, with completion scheduled for
October, 2012. The Master of Management degree will be granted by Aquinas College.
"Miller College is excited to have Aquinas College's Master of Management program
on our campus. The program will certainly add value to our community," states Miller
College President Dave Harris.
The Master of Management Program, developed around courses in the fields of accounting,
finance, information technology, management, marketing and sustainable business, imparts
sound theoretical concepts, practical knowledge, and critical skills necessary to
facilitate organizational success. The curriculum, unique among graduate business
programs in Michigan, assists graduate students to think strategically, understand
organizational culture, and effectively motivate the people who power a business.
The Master of Management program is the second collaborative effort between Aquinas
and Miller colleges. The Aquinas College School of Education served as the mentoring
partner and recommending institution for Miller College as it successfully sought
approval to certify its students enrolled in the Binda School of Education.
