On Tuesday, October 6, at 12:15 p.m. Andy Holtgrieve, Aquinas alumnus and a sales
consultant at Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Michigan, will be lecturing about politics
in the office. The event is sponsored by the Aquinas’ Business and Accounting League
and will be held in the Performing Arts Center at Aquinas College. The lecture is
free and open to the public.
Holtgrieve’s lecture will focus on issues faced in the workplace and will offer practical
advice on the do’s and don’ts of office etiquette. He will discuss proper emailing
protocol, chain of command, appropriate behaviors, and other “rules of the road.”
Holtgrieve will use his workplace experiences as a basis for the lecture.
Founded in 2000, the Aquinas College Business and Accounting League seeks to build a bridge between the academic and career worlds. The League focuses
on programs to complement and add to classroom experiences and sponsors a variety
of activities throughout the academic year. Past programs have included forums on
investment advice, buying real estate, resume preparation and effective interview
skills, career wardrobe, and dining etiquette.
