Theresa Flores uses personal experience to rescue young girls from being trafficked in U.S.

(GRAND RAPIDS, MICH.) – The Jane Hibbard Idema Women's Studies Center at Aquinas College continues its speaker
series by offering another free lecture on February 23.
Ms. Flores is the spokeswoman and Director of Education and Training for Gracehaven House, which is a rehabilitation home in Ohio for young girls who are survivors of human
trafficking. She is a survivor of domestic sex trafficking when she was a teenager
living in the Detroit area and has detailed her story in her memoir, The Slave Across
the Street. Ms. Flores speaks on human trafficking in the U.S. and her S.O.A.P. Project
(Save Our Adolescents from Prostitution) as a rescue effort for young girls being
trafficked in the U.S.
